Since playing in the Rock band Pink Cream 69 since 1988 I've discovered that I also had a passion for creating music in other ways. I realized early in my career that my strong side of making music was working on other peoples material and at the same time I was always fascinated by the recording concept. Thus, I became... producer...(eek!) Our latest album! Sonic Dynamite! Recorded, produced, mixed by me bla bla bla... I've been producing and recording CDs on a professional basis since 1995. I started earlier in peoples practice rooms with an 8-track multi recorder under some, what I would consider now to be, pretty rough conditions. I continued until I was able to start recording free-lance in a small studio that a freind of mine had. From there I went to doing small free lance recording making demos for anyone anywhere! I finally got to record in a "real" (that means bigger than a shoe box) studio when I recorded our 1996 album called 'Food for Thought' later to be mixed by myself and Gert Wölfe at 'Horus sound studios' in Hannover Germany. I did some more small jobs then in various little studios and then moved on to mix PC69's live album. The next year I was working as a free-lance producer in studios such as 'Deirks Studios' close to Colonge,Germany (bands such as Scorpions Twisted Sister have recorded here just to name a few), or 'Trix studio' in little ol' Rauenberg. From there on I got local with my productions and decided I didn't want to travel much so I started hanging out at a cool and not so small studio called HOUSE OF AUDIO! As much as I don't like to travel I still will if I have to. Did a mixing job in a studio on Reunion Islands (check yer map!) and that aint Kansas, brother... |
